Flu Clinic

There is a walk in clinic from 9.00 - 12.00 on Saturday 23rd September for all eligible patients from either our Roebuck or Guestling surgery.

If you require a flu jab and are not able to attend this clinic, please contact the surgery for an appointment.

New Patient Registrations

Due to the close supervision order for Dr A Chopra, we are no longer accepting new patients onto our list. This is so that we can continue to offer the same high standards of care to our existing patients. We have agreed our position with the Hastings & Rother Clinical Commissioning Group. If you are a registered patient and have a new baby they will continue to be accepted on to the practice list in the usual way. Please see the latest news section for further details.

Our latest CQC report can be viewed here: CQC Inspection 16/05/2017

Nurse Practitioners

Mrs Maria Bull (f)

Maria Bull

BSc (Hons) - Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioners differ from Practice Nurses in that they have additional qualifications allowing them to prescribe medications and refer for further treatment. Maria qualified as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (BSC Hons) in September 2007. Maria is able to fit and remove contraceptive implants and coils as she also works for the local sexual health clinic.

Mrs Vivien Lovwell (f)

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Vivien Lovewell Is our Practice Nurse working across both surgeries. She offers a broad range of clinics including Asthma, Diabetes, COPD, Childhood immunisation, Travel vaccines, wound management, blood pressure monitoring etc. Vivien is also our Infection Control lead.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Helen Coglan (f)

Helen Coglan is the surgery Phlebotomist (she is not a health care assistant - see below) and holds clinics at Roebuck and Guestling Surgery taking blood tests. She also carries out home visits for the truly housebound patient who is unable to get to the surgery.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one. Offering a targeted phlebotomy service means that our Practice Nurses can focus on more specialist care and patients do not have to wait so long to be seen. Helen also takes INR blood tests for patients whose long term Warfarin dose needs to be monitored.

Ms Jayne Coleman

Jayne has recently joined the practice as our first Healthcare Assistant. We are very pleased to welcome Jayne who provides support to our clinical team and is able to carry out blood tests, new patient health care checks, blood pressure monitoring and baseline observations.

Practice Management

Mrs Tracy White

Tracy White has taken over as the Practice Manager for Roebuck Surgery. She is also the Practice Manager for Hastings Old Town Surgery and has been a Practice Manager for over 20 years.

Tracy is responsible for the day to day running of the practice. She is supported in her role but our Deputy Manager and our very helpful administrators and receptionists.

Mrs Penelope Rose

Penelope Rose is the Business Manager, providing support to the Practice Manager with overall business management, CQC compliance, business strategy development and implementation.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. Our team of Donna,  Katy, Rita and Vic will be happy to help you.
